Most importantly, please note:

  • It is a legal requirement everyone (11 years+) to wear a face covering unless they have well-being reasons for not doing so
  • If you have recently been unwell or have developed COVID-19 symptoms, you should not book or attend

Those who are at higher risk, clinically vulnerable and/or shielding should not attend in person without first consulting with their doctor or consultant.

If you have recently been unwell or have developed COVID-19 symptoms (including a high temperature, a new continuous cough and/or a loss or change in your sense of smell or taste) you should not attend our services.  In the event you develop any symptoms during or after the service or if you test positive for coronavirus you must notify the church office immediately.

We are seeking to maintain a 1m physical distance between different households for our gathered service, alongside the requirement that attendees (11 yrs +) wear a face covering (unless there is a well-being reason for not doing so).  The Christian Centre will be set up with a clearly identifiable one-way system; all doors will be held open, preventing the need to touch them and ensuring the room is well ventilated.  Upon arrival, everyone will be asked to use the hand-sanitiser provided before taking a seat in the 1m distanced rows.

To attend our gathering, you must book in advance online using the sign-up system above.  This booking system enables us to both manage numbers but also maintain a register for the purpose of track and trace.  There will be room for approximately 10-15 people at each service.  The booking system opens on the Monday ready for the following Sunday and you will need to book week by week.  Please only book if you intend to come.  We are monitoring the booking system to ensure that that there is equal opportunity to book for everyone who wants to attend.

We are not currently allowed to have congregational singing within our gathered service because it’s believed singing increases the risk of COVID 19 transmission – this matter is still under review by the Government.  Our services will continue to include worship videos, times for prayer, testimony and preaching since our service leaders and preachers have the challenge of ensuring that we are effectively serving those engaging online as well as those gathered in the building.

Government restrictions prevent us from serving food and drink.  You are permitted to bring your own drink in a reusable water bottle however.

You are encouraged to arrive not more than 10 minutes before the service commences, and, after the service, you will be encouraged to leave the building promptly to minimise the length of time spent indoors.  However, why not take the opportunity to have a socially distanced walk with another household before or after the service; perhaps families could meet to play in a park between services and parents share childcare?

Whilst toilets are available, you are discouraged from using them unless absolutely necessary.

All the physical distancing measures which we have become used to in other spheres of life will apply at church (i.e. no touching members of another household, good personal hygiene, staying away if ill, etc.).  In the same way these practices have become our ‘new normal’ in other spheres of life, we need to accept that there is ‘a new normal’ for us as a church.

Please be assured that we have, and will continue to take, every reasonable precaution to ensure that our buildings and gatherings are ‘COVID secure’.
