We want to encourage the spiritual growth of all women, alongside building lasting relationships across generations.  Throughout the year we run informal, friendly events for women of all ages.  The events explore our Christian faith, usually with a short talk from a speaker, with opportunity for discussion in small groups or private reflection.

There is always good quality coffee, a wide selection of teas, plus fruit and pastries (sometimes Amanda's home made treats) with gluten free options too.

Every morning event provides childcare.  Children are given the opportunity to enjoy a relaxed, unstructured, play session in the main church hall.  A wide variety of activities are available for the children to explore, from table-tennis, giant volleyball, crafts, and of course snacks, all supported by some amazing dads (DBS checked and safeguarding trained).  There is no need to book childcare, but if you know you are planning to bring your children, please let Marie Delgado or any of the team members know.

Events are usually on a Saturday morning from 10am to 11.30am in the Christian Centre.  For full details of our 2021 Calendar see below.

What is important to you?
As the Sharing the Journey team prepare for another year of events, we are keen to include subjects that are important for CBC women.  If there is a subject area you would like us to explore, please let us know.  This year we will have a little Suggestions Box on our refreshments table for you to drop in any ideas you may have.  Your thoughts are always welcome.  Thank you.

Saturday 09 October 2021, 10am to 11.30am

Sharing the Journey is back to meeting face to face gatherings, and you are invited to join us!

We are so excited to be planning our next meeting for 9th October 2021 in the Christian Centre*.  We will be gathering at our usual time from 10am-11.30am, and will be finishing promptly, so you can confidently plan the rest of your day.

Please click here to sign up so we know rough numbers of those attending.

At this event we will be exploring:
Where is God in Our Seasons?

All CBC women are welcome to join us.  For those new to Christchurch Baptist Church, this is an event for Women to come together for time to explore God's word in a peaceful, and encouraging environment.  We always start with good quality coffee, (and a range of alternatives), homemade treats, and time to catch up with familiar faces and get to know new ones.   Following a short word from our speaker, there is opportunity for small group discussions, followed by time for  private worship and reflection.  Everyone is made to feel welcome.  There are no expectations placed on those attending, just come as you are.

We are unable to provide childcare for this event.  However, if this is a barrier to you being able to join us, please contact Sarah Isaac, sarah.isaac6@gmail.com, to discuss how we may support you.  We really value being inclusive for all CBC women.

We have made a few adjustments to ensure our meeting will be Covid secure.  We will still gather in small groups around coffee tables, but the tables will be spaced out a little more and if necessary we will use the Church building to provide the necessary social distancing.  Hand sanitiser will be available for use during the event.  Refreshments will be served by the team instead of our usual self-service arrangements.  So things will be a little bit different, but the warm welcome will be the same.  Unless the Government change their guidance on or before 09 October 2021, face-coverings are not expected to be worn but feel free to do so if this is your preference.

To find out more, or if you have ideas for future events, please contact a member of the Sharing the Journey team via the church office.

God Bless
The Sharing the Journey Team
